serve 7-8 buns (depending on size of buns)
Ingredients
potato boiled 4 (refrigerated for 6 after boiling)
onion 1 small(chopped)
carrot 1 small(chopped & boiled)
peas 1/2 cup(mashed & boiled)
french beans 1/2 cup( chopped & boiled )
poha (pressed rice) 1 cup(washed and mashed)**
butter 1 tbsp
salt
mango powder 1/2 tsp
turmeric 1/4 tsp
jeera powder 1/2 tsp
garlic powder 1/2 tsp
dry mint 1 tsp
whole wheat buns 7-8
oil 1-2 tbsp
For coating
fresh bread crumbs 1 cup
all purpose flour 1/2 cup+cornflour 1/4 cup(make a thick paste by adding cold water)
Topping
Lettuce leaves
hung curd 1/2 cup**
tomato ketchup
Method
*heat butter add onions till translucent (saute for 2 min)
*add carrot and beans. saute for 3-4 min
*add spices and then add potato and poha
*remove from fire and let it cool.
*make it in shape of pattice**
*coat with all purpose flour mix and then with bread crumbs and fry in nonstick pan .
*toast then buns without any oil.
*place pattice on bun and on top of it add a spoon of curd and lettuce ..
*serve hot with tomato ketchup
Note
*Can add mayonnaise instead of hung curd.
*can add bread crumbs or cornflour to blind pattice instead of poha.
*pattice are the vegetable tikki .
