CHICKEN CURRY IN CLAY POT

Cooking in clay pot is amazing.... When there were no utensils of steel , non stick n all... people use to make on clay pot only on a wood fire top...




The food taste different when cooked in clay pot.... Its a beautiful aroma of clay(mitti)....




Ingredients

For marination

Yogurt 3 tbsp
Kashmiri Red chili 1 tsp
Tandoori masala 1 tsp
Ginger Garlic paste 2 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Ghee    1 tsp
Chicken 8 Pieces

Marinate chicken in the marinate and leave minimum for 30 min(can marinate for upto 2 hrs)


For Gravy 

Onion Grated 2 medium
Tomatoes puree 2 medium
Ginger & Garlic Paste(fresh) 2 tbsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 1-2 tsp
Chicken masala 1 tbsp
Cumin powder  1 tsp
Green cardamom 2
Garam Masala 1 tsp
Haldi 1/2tsp
Ghee 4 tbsp
Water 1 cup(or as much u want curry to be)


Method

Heat a non stick pan . Add marinated chicken with all marinate and cook on high till all masala get coated on chicken and it leaves ghee.




Heat the clay pot ... Add ghee



Add onion & cardamom. 


Cook till brown.


Add all the spices.

Add 3/4 tomato puree and mix well.




Add chicken with the ghee in the pan.


Mix well and bhuno till oil separates...

Add Rest of tomato puree...


Mix well till ghee separates...
Add water and mix well...



Cook till 3-4 boils and serve with Tandoori roti or steamed rice...
